things we just don't take for granted

My whole family went for a walk in the woods today.

I'm just gonna say that one more time.

With emphasis.

My WHOLE family went for a WALK in the woods today.

All of us.

Together.

Walking.

Me: I'm taking a picture of this - it's monumental.

Him: You look taller than me.

Me: I am taller than you.

Him: I don't like it. Duck down.

Whatever.

We also ate chili cheese dogs and root beers, while Tiny attempted to get a word in edgewise.  

But nothing about that sentence is surprising.
