There are a lot of people in this world who need help right now, sometimes it's hard to know where to begin. Sometimes it seems if you can't help everybody you can't help anybody.
So we tell our kids to just begin.
Just do something.
Just get started.
The littlest seems to be figuring it out.
Last week her bake sale raised $74 for Hurricane Harvey's animal rescue mission. Granted, she didn't have to front any money, and people were giving her five bucks for a one dollar cookie, but still. She also dumped in all of her own money, and hands us her change on a regular basis, "for the animals".
Now she's designed a shirt to help raise money for the sarcoma foundation, which of course is an organization near and dear to all of us. (You can see it here: This Life Rocks)
We aren't sure if this will hold up, but we can dream.
