The sky is black here. Like nearly pitch black.
Because nothing makes seven hours and counting of sarcoma surgery more fun than tornado warnings.

As an oncology nurse, I'm here to tell you "clean margins" is the best two words you can hear after surgery to remove cancer. "Clean margins" as in, "You hit the freaking lottery". Rest. Pain meds. Optimism. Gratitude. Peace. Sleep.

Yes, the lottery. It feels like the lottery to me. We'll see if the pain pump helps him see the bright side tonight.
